I’m Samantha Black — a North London–based photographer, art director and retoucher. I create portraits across fashion, beauty, lifestyle and personal branding, working digitally and occasionally on 35mm film when the project calls for it.

I was born in East London and now live in North London with my two children. My background is in Fashion and Business, and after a decade in the industry, I realised the part that genuinely moved me was photographing people — the honesty, the emotion, the way a single frame can show who someone really is.

My approach is thoughtful and intentional. I care about real connection, clarity, and creating work that feels grounded and human. I’m not interested in performance or pretence — just images that feel true to the person in front of me.

I’m drawn to people who value authenticity, depth and kindness, and I bring the same energy into every session. Whether I’m working with a brand, a creative, or someone who simply wants strong portraits of themselves, I aim to make the process calm, collaborative and meaningful.

I work across London and the UK and travel worldwide for projects.
